I joined a start up company in 2006, but with housing market death spiral we went down with it in early 2008.  My equity position was worth nothing, I was out of money, I had bad credit, and my attitude wasn’t so stellar either.  These things happen. So when a B-school friend contacted me in August to offer me a three week contract with his company in Los Angeles, I said yes immediately.

But I had neither the cash nor the credit card balance to cover costs of the trip.  My eight year old Nissan really shouldn’t make that kind of trip either. But of course I didn’t mention this to my friend.

See, things always turn around when you put your mind to it.

A car title loan in this big fat recession and credit crisis might be the smart way to go.  I bet a lot of people do it and you never know it.
