I’m not the athlete that I used to be, even though I usually hold my own no matter the sport. While I can’t get by on my speed anymore, I can use my knowledge and experience to stay with guys 10-15 years younger than me. No where was this more true than when I tore up my knee playing flag football.

It happened rather innocently enough. I went out for a post pattern, put the move on this young pup trying to cover me, and when I made my cut “POP” went me knee. Surprisingly, it didn’t hurt as much as I thought that it would, but it hurt enough to take me out of the game.

I tried icing my knee, and although it helped, I knew deep down that I did something a bit more serious to my knee. When I went to the ER later that night, my suspicions were confirmed, I tore a ligament in my knee. No surgery, its not like I was getting back to playing WR for the Titans. The only shocker which I received was my hospital bill. Amazing what it cost for 1 hr trip.

Needless to say, I didn’t have health insurance, so the bill was all on me. Money was a little tight, and the bank wouldn’t give me squat because of my bad credit, so I did what I had to do. I took out a auto title loan through Memphis Car Title Loans. They were really cool, and the online application was fast. I even received a call to direct me to the location closest to my house. My bill is now paid, and I’m a happy man.
