It started out just like any other Monday. I was buckling down to work at my computer at the cubicle I practically live in, day in and out. I’ve been a technical support supervisor to people in Southaven, Olive Branch, Forrest City, Ripley, Oxford, Millington, Germantown, and Covington at a local telecom for a couple of years now, and the job has just been a hundred percent routine for most of that time. I could do the job in my sleep, that’s how tedious it was. So when it was time for a vacation, I’d usually run out of the office, get the bags I packed, and buy a ticket out of Tennessee.

I had filed a leave for a couple of weeks, and I still wasn’t sure where I was supposed to go. I had set my sights on Hawaii, although I have been there about half a dozen times. I was talking to my sister who lives abroad, and she suggested that I try going somewhere more exotic. I didn’t have any idea as to what that meant exactly, so I just let her drone on. Somewhere in the conversation, I picked out the words “peace and quiet,” so I let her interrupt my reverie. I asked about the beach she was talking about, and she proceeded to tell me the excruciatingly long story of how she enjoyed this resort she went to in Indonesia.

I’d never been anywhere outside North America, so I decided to go there. Turns out I needed much more money than I had at the time, so I went to the site for Memphis Car Title Loans. The speedy service was awesome, and I was still in my seat when they confirmed that I could get my money in two hours. Great!
