I’m not the athlete that I used to be, even though I usually hold my own no matter the sport. While I can’t get by on my speed anymore, I can use my knowledge and experience to stay with guys 10-15 years younger than me. No where was this more true than when I tore up my knee playing flag football.

It happened rather innocently enough. I went out for a post pattern, put the move on this young pup trying to cover me, and when I made my cut “POP” went me knee. Surprisingly, it didn’t hurt as much as I thought that it would, but it hurt enough to take me out of the game.

The Memphis Tigers basketball team is the best program in college basketball today. Yeah, I know they fell short of the championship, but they’re poised to win it all this year. I’ve attended games every year, but never had the chance to get some great season tickets, but this guy I work with was looking to sell his, and this wasn’t a chance I was willing to give up.

My co-worker that I was buying them from gave me only 36 hours to come up with the money, and I wasn’t sure where to go. The bank wasn’t about to give me the money I needed, and with my credit cards were already maxed out, I only had one good option.
